Quebec 2001...

INTRODUCTION

April 21st , year 2001...

Place: Quebec City, capital of the province of Quebec, in Canada...

For 3 days. governors of the 34 countries of the Americas ( 34 because Cuba wasn't invited) met up for the first Summit of Americas ever. The goal of this meeting is to transform all the countries of America into a huge free trade zone. So what does a free trade zone mean? There already is a free trade zone between Canada, USA and Mexico for the moment, and how it has affected those three countries can only be seen as a prologue to what is in store should the Free Trade Area of Americas (FTAA) take effect. And should the FTAA take effect, globalization of capitalism wouldn't be too far behind.

So what exactly is a free trade zone? Free Trade Zones are sanctions that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Trace Organization (WTO) want in effect as soon as possible to further advance their agenda on capitalist globalization. In short, capitalist globalization would mean a world dominated by corporations without any other laws than commercial trade rules.

Do you have any idea what I mean by that? If you don't, think about those cyberpunk movies ( example: Johnny Mnemonic) or Playstation Role Playing Games (like Final Fantasy 7,Shadowrun, etc.). That means a world where those who do have money can indeed live, while those who don't just roll over and die. Justice for all... who can afford it. This isn't alarmism, this is reality as it is today.

How did we get to where we are today?
